Ductac’s gallery of Light is launching its ‘Artists in Residence’ Programme, beginning with British artist Simon Coates.
Coates will create art in the centre, located in Mall of the Emirates, from September 3 to 30. He will be followed by Emirati painter and sculptor Khawla Darwish, who will work alongside German-Egyptian painter Mona Fares from October 2 to 27.
The Gallery of Light will be open to the public throughout the residencies, with visitors being invited to interact with the artists and watch them at work.
The work created by the artists will be exhibited in the Gallery of Light in early November.
DUCTAC will also be welcoming student groups and members of the public to a series of masterclasses and workshops that will be hosted by the artists.
