'It's too personal'

shaBut even though he admitted to the media that he was hurting, the actor isn't going all sulky over his breakup. When we asked Shahid what went wrong in the relationship, he said: "At this point I choose not to talk about what went wrong in my relationship with Kareena. It's too personal. It involves my family and also Kareena's. I'd rather not talk about it," he says. Being the gentleman that Shahid is, he refuses to sling mud on Kareena's family. But earlier too, Bebo's sister Karisma's husband had blamed his marital problems on his mother-in-law Babita. Could there be a connection here? Shahid's not telling. All he's ready to offer is: "My parents have always been a strong anchor in my life. They are standing by me even today."

The boyish actor, however, is upbeat about Jab We Met, his film with his ex-flame. He's sure the breakup won't affect the film's chances. "Each film is individual. We have worked together in the past and some films have done well and some haven't. I don't think our relationship is going to affect any film. If a film is good it does well and if it isn't it won't," he observes.
