jerryNow Jerry Hall appears to have found a novel way to make him pay.

She will earn a reported £1million for writing an autobiography featuring juicy details about the Rolling Stone.

The 51-year-old former model, who spent 23 years with Sir Mick, has signed a deal with HarperCollins.

According to the publisher, the book 'takes a candid look at Hall's experiences as a young model from Gonzalez, Texas, her marriage to Mick Jagger and her life in the rock 'n' roll fast lane'. It promises to be an 'explosive' read.

'Jerry is a force of nature,' said Jane Friedman, HarperCollins's global president. 'She is a vibrant, happy woman with a great sense of humour whose life story contains the unexpected and makes for a riveting read.'

Victoria Barnsley, chief executive of HarperCollins UK, added: 'Jerry is one of life's great survivors. She's also very funny. I've no doubt her book will be highly entertaining and illuminating both about her own remarkable life and the extraordinary world she's lived in.'

All of which might prove rather uncomfortable reading for her ex-husband.

The last time Miss Hall put pen to paper ñ to write a song with her musician friend Rachel Fuller, girlfriend of The Who's Pete Townshend ñ Sir Mick came off rather badly. The song, Around This Table, appeared to be about the large dining table at the house in Richmond Hill, South-West London, which Miss Hall shared with Sir Mick.

jer1It was widely regarded as an attack on the rock legend's many extramarital dalliances. The song went: 'We make love on it. Our children scratch their names beneath. The fire lights our passion. And the wine has numbed our grief. Then you bring other women while I am out of town. And I can always sense when a stranger has sat down.'

Sir Mick apparently sneaked his current girlfriend, model L'Wren Scott, into the Richmond Hill home in 2003 while Miss Hall was starring in The Graduate in the U.S..

Their marriage finally broke down in the late 1990s, when a Brazilian model called Luciana Morad came forward to claim she was pregnant with Sir Mick's child.

He said the child was not his, but blood tests told a different story. Miss Hall filed for divorce in 1999 and reportedly received £10million in the settlement.

Earlier this year, she accused her ex-husband of not paying his way during the couple's relationship, and of depriving their children - Elizabeth, 23, James, 21, Georgia, 15, and Gabriel, nine of basic 'day-to-day stuff'.

She said: 'He always wanted me to pay for everything to do with the house and children, which I didn't mind doing, I guess, because I had the money.'

Sir Mick, now 64, immediately hit back, saying: 'I find her remarks absurd. I have always paid all expenses for the children as well as the lion's share of the costs relating to her lifestyle, and been more than happy to do so.'

News of Miss Hall's tell-all book deal may make a few others uncomfortable. She was once engaged to Bryan Ferry, but left him for Sir Mick.
