Locations all over the world have played starring roles in many epic Hollywood blockbusters, but lately Jordan seems to have become a hot favourite of filmmakers seeking exotic backdrops to add a fantastical touch to their stories. The recent reboot of Disney's Aladdin was filmed in the majestic settings of the famed Wadi Rum desert.

City Times, is in Amman, Jordan, ahead of the premier of Jinn on Thursday, June 13 to meet the director, cast and other team members to get the details on the five-episode horror-thriller.
"We are thrilled to be in Amman, Jordan for the launch of Jinn this week," said Kelly Luegenbiehl, Vice President, International Operations, Netflix.
"As our first Arabic original series and featuring some of the region's up-and-coming talent, and we can't wait to showcase this story to an international audience when it launches in 190 countries on Thursday, June 13," he added.

Earlier, The ancient city of Petra, aka the Lost City and a treasured Unesco heritage site, was put into the limelight when Indiana Jones took off on a mighty adventure to this magnificent spot in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, paving the way for more such themes.
