THE 2011 DUBAI International Jazz Festival launches tonight, with a series of free shows scheduled at The Walk in Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Between 8pm and 11pm, watch smooth jazz, soulful blues and some good old rock and roll – as two (mostly local) acts take to the stage each night.
Tonight sees British jazz act Blue Light Collective and BB & the Blue Shacks take to the stage, while other bands confirmed to appear between now and January 28 include Fatiniza (pictured), Kaleidoscope, Xceed, Marwan & the Mojos, Flipside and The Dwight Dickerson Quartet.
The main concerts will take place from February 16 to 18 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre – featuring the likes of Jools Holland & his Orchestra, Macy Gray, Train and Lifehouse.
