OFFERING AN OPPORTUNITY to explore a new culture, the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah will host a Philippine Cultural Night in the hotel on Friday, January 27, offering a menu of authentic cuisine and entertainment for guests to enjoy.

The highlight of the evening will be a showcase of folk dance from around more than 7,100 islands that make up the Asian country, performed by the students of The Philippine School in Dubai dressed in colourful national costumes.

In addition, guests will have an opportunity to taste the food of the country, influenced through the centuries by Hispanic, Chinese, American and Asian flavours and seasonings.

According to Jean-Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Northern Emirates, Coral Hotels & Resorts, the Philippine Cultural Night represents an opportunity to get to know more about one of Asia’s least known cultures.

“While Filipinos make up a large proportion of the resident population here, for many people the geography, culture and food of the country are a mystery,” he said.

“The Cultural Night at the Coral Beach Resort will showcase song and dance, and serve up a taste of the cuisine to introduce the country to a new audience.”
