Get ready for an evening of song and satire as Mika Singh and Kapil Sharma team up for an event this Friday

Singer Mika Singh and comedian Kapil Sharma are on their way to perform this Friday at the Crowne Plaza hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

Mika made his name as a playback singer for television and films before acclaim as a stage artist followed. The entertainer has been involved in films including Singh is Kinng, Mauja Hi Mauja and Houseful where he sang the hit Aapka Kya Hoga. He was also the talent behind Subha Hone Na De from the film Desi Boyz and Dhink Chika from Ready. A veteran of reality TV, Mika has been featured in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao and Music Ka Maha Muqabala where he was a team captain, judge, and mentor with his Mika’s Blasters team.

Mika began to play the tabla at the age of eight. He started playing harmonium when he was 12 and guitar when he was 14. His career evolved from a kirtan singer to bhangra/pop artist. He released his debut album Sawan Mein Lag Gayee Aag in 1998 at the age of 21. Since then Mika had released hit albums like Ishq Brandy, Something Something, Gabru, and Dunali.

Kapil Sharma began his stand-up career when he won the third series of Star One’s Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 where he received many plaudits for his characters Lala Roshan Lal and Shamsher Singh the Punjab police officer. In 2010, he won the Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars ,Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo and, in 2011, the Jubilee Comedy Circus & Comedy Circus Ke Tansen on Sony Entertainment Television.

Kapil made an appearance in the film The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002) and Khakee (2004), and in 2010, he appeared alongside a record 51 fellow comedians in the movie Bhavnao Ko Samjho, written and directed by comedian Sunil Pal.
