A source says Ronnie, 61, was with Ekaterina and friends at the Covent Garden Hotel on Tuesday night. “They were talking about their new pad,” I’m told. “Ronnie said it’s a converted warehouse with plenty of space for his art. Ekaterina and her mates talked about throwing a housewarming and joked that Ronnie was trying to be the cool kid on the block.”

Meanwhile, Ronnie’s estranged wife Jo has been cleaning out junk at their former marital home in Surrey. “I’ve no plans to move, I love my house and it’s been great binning things I never really liked,” Jo, 53, declared at the Gallery Icon exhibition in London. “I’ve a lovely pink kitchen with a great big vintage sink and a vegetable garden where I grow everything. I just know 2009 is going to be good for me.”
