SCHOOL TEACHER TO BE SACKED FOR DEFYING TRANSFER ORDER

has reportedly readied her termination orders, which is expected to be approved within the next few days.

The decision was taken after extensive questioning of the teacher by the Legal Affairs Department at the ministry with the former declining to accept the transfer to Al Amal Kindergarten.

According to sources, the teacher, from the time she was issued the transfer orders at the beginning of the academic year, had consistently refused to comply with the orders despite repeated warnings by senior officials at the ministry.

Instead, she preferred to report at the old school without marking the attendance sheet. She is said to have spent her time sitting in the reception through the day till the end of the school.

The Inspection Department at the ministry condemned the teacher, who threatened the female inspector through SMS messages.

Following investigations by officials concerned, her termination order was prepared.

A report submitted by the school principal disclosed that the teacher worked as a librarian in 2003, and her performance was limited despite attempts by the Inspection and the school management to guide and motivate her to work hard.

The school management was surprised when a ministerial decree was issued asking for transferring her as a teacher of arts. The decree was issued on her request and on amicable basis between her and the department concerned at the ministry without consulting the zonal administration or the school.
