POPULAR PRODUCTIONS IS inviting performers to audition for the upcoming Dubai production of Disney’s Camp Rock.
The company has previously brought a wealth of famous shows to the city, such as High School Musical, Fame and Annie, and now it has set its sights on the musical film.
Premiering in 2008, the movie starred teen-pop sensations The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, and its success led to sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
With hit songs including This Is Me, Can’t Back Down and We Rock, the show will run for 10 performances at The First Group Theatre, Madinat Jumeirah, from July 11 to 16.
Auditions, open for anyone aged 10 to 35, will take place at the Hayya Meadows Club on May 20 and 21. The producers are looking for actors, singers, dancers and all-rounders. Cast members must be available from June 25 to July 10, and a training fee will apply to those chosen.
