The Philippines' megastar Sharon Cuneta gets busier this summer as she kicks off the much-awaited provincial tour starting on May 20 in Lucena City, Quezon province, south of Manila, coinciding with the release of the latest single from her new album on Sony BMG Music label.
The provincial tour follows the success of the two-night engagement at the Araneta Coliseum (or the Big Dome) last February 10 and March 31.
Sharon will be in Pampanga, Dumaguete, Cebu, Davao, Bacolod and Baguio.
The special guest in Magastar Sharon Cuneta Live in Lucena is the country's youngest balladeer Christian Bautista. It will be held this coming Saturday at the Quezon Convention Centre. The megastar will release It Takes A Man And A Woman, a Teri de Sario original, off her new album Isn't It Romantic?
Sharon interprets the hit songs of the '70s, '80s and '90s, including Sometime A Love Goes Wrong, the Basia original Until You Come Back To Me, How Deep Is Your Love, Jim Croce's I Have To Say I Love You In A Song, Laughter In The Rain by Neil Sedaka, Terminal, Simply Jessie by Rex Smith, Don McLean's If I Keep My Heart Out Of Sight, Heaven Knows by Rick Price, With A Little Help From My Friends, and Lani Hall's I Don't Want You To Go.
"I chose these songs because they are some of the songs I have loved for many years — most of them I grew up listening to, and some I would sing so often while growing up just because I loved to," Sharon said.
The album also features a new acoustic version of her past hit To Love Again and a bonus CD that includes the track, More Than One Way, an anthem Sharon especially dedicated for all ladies of choice.
