years — it is a place where every day starts with a new inspiration, a new joy. Bringing the well-defined elements of their Latin origin nation to Dubai is the folklore group, Calanoi. Formed in 2003 in a town situated in the centre of Maldova, the group keeps the country's folklore spirit and traditional dances alive by preserving the customs of the nation.

Using typical traditional costumes, ornaments and patterns distinctive to the various regions of Romania, the group gives to Dubai a colourful array of visual delight at the Hamarain Centre from 5pm to 7pm and Reef Mall from 8pm to 10pm. Apart from the cultural show and the drum beat shows, there is an exhibition of handicrafts, national costumes and a set-up of a typical Romanian Village to enthrall audience at Hamarain Centre. Though the troupe is from Maldova, they have taken to cover every main region of their country so that the audience receives a complete picture of their culture.
