Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her family has been dragged to the court by an automobile agency over alleged non-payment of dues amounting to Rs21 lakhs.
The proprietor of the company, Parhad Amra, claims that Shilpa's late father Surendra Shetty had borrowed loan of Rs 21 lakhs and was supposed to return it with interest till January 2017.
On not receiving his dues, he sued the family. The family, however, denied all allegations and a hearing for the case is slated on January 29, 2019.
"I have had no involvement in my late father's business ever and have no knowledge of the financial dealing of the company at all. This gentleman is misleading the media. I knew him in the capacity of our family car mechanic, that's all," Shilpa said in a statement.
