When Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani tied the knot with Anand Piramal on December 12, the internet was inundated with pictures of the big fat wedding that witnessed big-wigs from Bollywood, politics and business.

After gushing over breathtaking pictures from the pre-wedding bash in Udaipur to star-struck wedding ceremony in the Mumbai, netizens are now questioning why the entire Bollywood brigade including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were seen serving food to the guests at the Ambani wedding. Pictures are doing rounds showing wedding guests seated at the dining tables as Bollywood superstars served them various delicacies.

The photos and videos went viral and drew mixed reactions on the internet. Some trolled the celebrities for serving food at the lavish wedding while others praised them for their kind gestures, reported Times Now.

Soon, Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to address the question by a social media user who wrote: 'Why were Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan serving food in Ambani wedding?' Junior Bachchan replied: 'It is a tradition called "sajjan ghot". The brides family feeds the grooms family'.

The Ambanis are known to be close to the Indian film industry.

Isha and Anand are childhood friends and were engaged in May when Anand proposed on a trip the couple took to the hill station of Mahabaleshwar. The billionaire couple's three-day engagement ceremony in September was held at Italy's Lake Como which also made headlines as it included a performance by John Legend. The pre-wedding party earlier this month saw Beyonce flown to Udaipur for a performance.
