In coordination with all the concerned authorities in the country, MoHAP confirmed that it had taken "all the necessary precautions in accordance with the scientific recommendations, conditions and standards approved by the World Health Organisation".
These steps eventually included the suspension of flights in and out of the country, santisation drives, and public health awareness campaigns, among others.
The UAE has reported 2,359 cases so far, a relatively smaller number as compared to other international cities.
