Another woman in Dubai fined Dh10,000 for organising party flouting Covid-19 rules

Dubai - Earlier this week, another woman had been fined Dh10,000 for organising a party featuring a live band.

A woman in Dubai has been fined Dh10,000 for organising a private party violating Covid-19 preventive measures.

The video of the party, which was attended by several media personal and an Arab celebrity, went viral online and showed that the guests were not wering masks and did not comply with social distancing measures, the Dubai Police said in a tweet.

Brigadier Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations at Dubai Police, said the woman was summoned as soon as the video went viral.

Every guest who attended the party will also be fined Dh5,000, he added, for failing to comply with Covid-19 measures.

Earlier this week, another woman had been fined Dh10,000 for organising a party featuring a live band, while not adhering to coronavirus measures.
