The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday reported 2,304 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 2,428 recoveries and 5 deaths.
The new cases were detected through 248,372 additional tests.

More than 37.7 million Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the UAE so far.
The total number of cases in UAE as on March 27 are 453,069, while total recoveries stand at 436,463. The death toll rises to 1,477.
In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
The UAE has conducted close to 27 million tests till date as part of the country's massive screening programmes to combat the spread.

Meanwhile, experts have advised that residents get vaccinated against Covid before undergoing elective surgeries.
