Dubai - Over 30.6 million tests have been conducted in the UAE to date to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Sunday reported 2,930 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,517 recoveries and 8 deaths.

The new cases were detected through 226,139 additional tests.
Over 30.6 million tests have been conducted across the UAE to date as part of the country's massive screening programmes to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The total number of cases in UAE as on February 28 are 391,524 while total recoveries stand at 381,225. The death toll rises to 1,221.
Doctors in the UAE are witnessing significant cases of patients complaining of loss of smell for up to several months after the virus first strikes them, warning that this could even prove to be a major public health problem.
While loss of smell is a hallmark of Covid-19 infection but new research shows that people with the coronavirus could lose their sense of smell for up to five months.
On the global front, India on Saturday initiated a number of steps in order "not to squander away the gains of the collective hard work of the last year" in containing Covid-19.
A "COVID Management and Response Strategy" was discussed with the chief secretaries of six states — namely, Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat — that reported high case loads in the previous 24 hours.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern too ordered New Zealand’s largest city back into lockdown on Saturday as Covid-19 cases continued to be detected in the community.
The latest restrictions in Auckland will last at least seven days and come less than two weeks after a three-day shutdown in the city.
