Coronavirus: UAE reports 626 new Covid-19 cases, 724 recoveries

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday announced 626 new cases of Covid-19 infections, 724 cases of recovery and 1 death.
This brings to total number of cases to 38,268, recoveries to 21,061 and the deaths to 275 in the country.
"We are observing some false info being circulated by some on social media, including some unsubstantiated tips. We urge all in the community to take all news from only official government channels and please check the source of the news before circulating it," Dr Farida Al Hosani, Official Spokesperson for the UAE Health Sector said.
The family plays a pivotal role in inculcating healthy habits among children. In light of these exceptional circumstances, it is mandatory for all of us to have healthy lifestyle and habits. Our commitment is a national obligation that helps us to tide over this crisis. The gradual opening of business and life will not be successful unless we all comply with the guidelines. The restrictions may have been eased, but each one of us remains responsible for ourselves, she added.
The ministry wished a speedy recovery to all patients, calling on the public to abide by the precautionary measures in place and following all necessary medical advice in order to avoid more infections. It called on the public to cooperate with health authorities and adhere to social distancing protocols and preventative measures to ensure the health and safety of all.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed its aim to expand the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatments.
After introducing one of the world's most comprehensive testing and tracing regimes - the UAE has so far tested 2 million people, and intends to test nearly all nine million citizens and residents
UAE's successful effort to curb coronavirus spread since the outbreak earlier this year has been internationally-recognised as the country not only diverted resources to produce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontliners treating patients, but also carried out an extensive sterilisation, testing and tracing programme to stop the spread.
The UAE is committed to helping the world fight Covid-19. It has sent more than 716 tonnes of medical aid to 63 countries. More than 716,000 medical professionals have been assisted around the world.
