New Covid strain: India-UK flights to resume from Jan 6

Dubai - 30 flights will operate every week

India-UK flights — which were suspended since December 23, 2020, over a new, more infectious Covid-19 strain — will resume on January 6.

Indian Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday announced that flights from India to the UK will resume on January 6. UK to India flights will resume on January 8.

“A total of 30 flights will operate every week, 15 each by Indian and UK carriers,” tweeted Puri. “This schedule is valid till January 23 and further frequency will be determined after review,."

The flights will resume to and from Indian cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad only.
