Dubai - An online questionnaire has been set up to determine a resident's eligibility.
While Dubai has announced that it will start administering the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday, health authorities clarified that the roll-out’s initial phase will be for seniors over the age of 60, frontliners, and those with chronic diseases. Even if one falls under this priority group, certain health conditions will also have to be met.
The DHA has set up an online questionnaire to determine a resident’s eligibility for the jab. Here are the questions you will be asked to answer:
> What age group do you belong to? (Younger than 18 years old; between 18 and 59; or 60 years and above)
> Are you a frontline worker?
> Are you pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to get pregnant in the next three months?
> Have you ever been diagnosed with any of these chronic diseases: High blood pressure, diabetes, chronic kidney or liver disease, chronic heart diseases or chronic respiratory disease like asthma?
> Have you received Covid-19 vaccination before?
> Do you have history of a serious allergic reaction to any vaccine, food, substance or medication?
> Are you taking any of these medicines or treatments: steroids, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immune-suppressant medications?
> Do you have epilepsy with frequent attacks? One or more attack per month or any neurological diseases?
> Did you receive any vaccination within the last four weeks?

If you’re found eligible based on your replies, you will then be transferred to a customer care executive to book a vaccination appointment. Residents must book a slot either through the call centre or DHA app. If you do not have a file with DHA, the customer executive gives you the option of opening one over the call.
Those who qualify will need to provide their Emirates ID number, date of birth, nationality and active mobile number.
To cover a wider section of people, the DHA will announce the next stages of the vaccination campaign on its official channels, according to the call centre of the authority.
