Dubai - Transguard Group says at least 95 per cent of its staff will be fully vaccinated by the end of March.
Manpower supplier Transguard Group on Wednesday announced that 16,000 of its employees have already received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Staff members working in the cash services, security, facilities management, manpower, logistics, aviation, hospitality, its catering company Taste of Home, its consumer division and Transguard Living have all taken the jab in an in-house vaccination drive that started in the beginning of January.
“The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority, which is why our Covid vaccination drive is crucial,” said Greg Ward, the group’s managing director.
“We have spared no time or resources in supporting the UAE’s vaccination efforts and we are pleased with the results of these first few weeks of 2021.”
Among the several employees who came forward for the vaccine were members of Transguard’s senior leadership team. In addition, an internal team is dedicated to scheduling appointments for any employee who wants to be vaccinated, with Transguard’s transportation division arranging free transport for site-based staff to and from medical facilities. Meanwhile, employees in the group’s headquarters are given time off for vaccination appointments.
“A year ago, we redoubled our efforts to support the UAE through the first ravages of the global pandemic. Transguard’s vaccination drive is key to our ongoing support for the nation and we are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far,” Ward said.
Transguard anticipates that at least 95 per cent of its employees will be fully vaccinated by the end of March. Established in 2001, Transguard Group is an Emirates Group and Al Hail Holding company with a workforce of 61,000.
