The UAE is racing to its target of vaccinating at least 50 per cent of residents before April 1. The jab is available for free to every resident aged above 16 years.
However, currently the priority is to administer the jab to the elderly, people of determination and those with chronic health conditions.
Meanwhile, the University of Oxford plans to test its Covid-19 vaccine in children for the first time, becoming the latest vaccine developer to assess whether its coronavirus shot is effective in young people.kh
