The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has started producing plastic masks that cover the whole face to protect workers in the health sector as they combat Covid-19 pandemic, Al Khaleej newspaper reported on Sunday.
The authority announced that these face masks are made using the 3D printing technology at the laboratories of Al Badaa Health Centre. The new masks will protect all workers in the health sector, on the front line of defence against the pandemic, from getting infected with the novel coronavirus, it said.
Currently, 50 masks are being produced every 48 hours, as the authority is targeting to provide 500 masks to the doctors, who deal directly with coronavirus patients.
The authority said that it will use every possible technology to protect the people working in the health sector in Dubai.
