Saudi Arabia has bolstered coronavirus precautionary measures at the two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah, by installing sterilisation gates for worshippers.
The management of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet (PBUH)'s Mosque in Madinah have installed state-of-the-art disinfection gates to disinfect people before they enter the mosques for prayers.
Okaz reported that the new gates have thermal cameras that can detect the temperature of people from a distance of 6 meters - with a smart screen displaying the temperatures of more than one person at the same time in a second.

The smart gates spray a sterilising substance on all individuals entering the holy mosques to prevent the spread of Covid-19 virus.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have prohibited general public from entering the mosques for Ramadan prayers in a bid to stop the spread of the virus, however according to recent reports, Saudi is aiming to reopen the mosques soon.
