A fatwa has been issued by the Kuwaiti authorities to temporarily suspend Friday sermons and prayers in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), which has been termed as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs took to Twitter to make the announcement on Friday.

"Everyone must pray in their homes," the ministry said in a statement.
