Oman's Health Ministry on Sunday confirmed 157 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing to 5,186 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.
The number of recovered cases in the country rose to 1,465, the ministry confirmed.
Another death case registered in the Sultanate, taking the virus-related death toll to 22.
A 48-year-old resident died due to coronavirus, the ministry said.
"This is the 22nd death case reported in the country," MOH added.
