In line with the UAE government’s ambitious drive to inoculate all residents against SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, the Emirates Post Group has also launched a mass in-house vaccination drive for its employees across the emirates. The drive started on January 22.
Abdulla M Alashram, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Emirates Post Group Company, said: “Emirates Post Group is committed to serving the UAE while taking the necessary measures to keep our employees, customers, and communities safe. Their health and safety are our main priority. As a vital sector, encouraging our employees to take the vaccine is our national responsibility.”
He told Khaleej Times: “So far, 1,000 employees have participated in our in-house programme. We’re encouraging all our employees to take the vaccine. We aim to make it more accessible for all those who wish to take the jab”.
He added: “The company is working closely with the authorities to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our workforce.”
Although it’s optional to take the jab, the response has been overwhelming among the employees, the Group CEO said.
“The priority is given to front-line workers in the in-house vaccination programme,” he added.
