The Dubai Municipality said a shisha cafe in Al Murar was shut for violating curfew and offering services after 1am. According to new Covid safety rules, restaurants and cafes should be closed by 1am.

A massage centre in Mirdif; three salons in Al Barsha and Mirdif; and a laundry in Al Qusais were the other businesses that were ordered shut.

The action came after the Dubai Municipality inspected 2,236 businesses, of which 98 per cent were found following all the safety rules.
