In line with this sentiment, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has issued guidelines for travelling amid Covid-19:

>> Pre-travel:

- Depending on the destination, a pre-travel PCR test may be required.

- UAE citizens must register in the Twajudi service.

- Everyone must comply with the Covid-19 preventive measures and directives.

>> At the destination:

- Monitor your health and seek help the moment you notice any symptoms like high body temperature, coughing, sneezing, difficulty breathing, loss of sense of taste or smell, etc.

- In case a traveller is infected with Covid-19, he/she should head to the nearest emergency centre.

- UAE nationals can get in touch with the diplomatic missions in their destination country.

>> Post-travel:

- A negative PCR test is needed before returning to the UAE.

- If a person shows Covid symptoms on landing in the UAE, he/she will be isolated and evaluated at the health centre in the airport.

- Adhere to local and federal rules related to Covid-19. (Read our list of rules to be followed as you land in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Sharjah airports.)
