Authorities across the UAE have tightened rules when it comes to private parties and gatherings. While one Emirate has banned parties altogether, others have reduced the total number of guests allowed.

Top UAE officials and doctors have time and again blamed crowded get-togethers as the main reason behind spikes in the number of Covid-19 cases. Police chiefs in Dubai and Ajman recently issued reminders to residents to maintain social distancing as they meet and to avoid unnecessary get-togethers.
