Awqaf (General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments) on Monday shared a detailed list of what does and doesn't break a fast during Ramadan.

A blood test, medical screening for detecting the Covid-19 coronavirus, tooth extraction, insulin injections, nicotine patches, wearing make-up, using alcohol-based hand sanitisers do not nullify the fast, the authority said.

However, smoking, medication used for gargling and nose drops if they reach the throat are among some of the things that invalidate the fast.
