The statement added that 325 establishments in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra were closed due to Covid infected workers. Another 29 facilities were shut for not complying with precautionary measures.

Twenty-nine other businesses were closed for not implementing Covid preventive guidelines, including not failure to maintain social distancing, not wearing face masks and others, which led to their closure, ADDED said.

ADDED has instructed all owners of business facilities across the emirate about the need to adhere to the highest levels of societal responsibility, health awareness and the compliance with the decisions issued by official authorities and committees to combat the pandemic.

The department has also emphasised the importance of the role of society members and business owners to promote the efforts of competent authorities to limit the spread of the pandemic and reduce cases of infection.

Business owners were also told to adhere to all procedures and instructions related to the health and safety of workers, particularly, those who deal directly with customers.

Officials said they were keen on the strict follow up of businesses to ensure full compliance with the approved preventive and precautionary decisions by owners.

ADDED said it was taking rigorous and strict procedures against all those violating rules.
