Pakistan will allow private companies to import Covid-19 vaccines and has agreed to exempt such imports from price caps, according to documents reviewed by Reuters

The documents show the cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the proposal, which also sought the suspension of some related regulations for six months to let the private sector determine the maximum price caps.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden on Thursday accused his predecessor of not doing his job in ordering enough vaccines.

Biden said the coronavirus vaccination program he inherited from Donald Trump was in “much worse shape” than he had expected. He urged patience, while announcing that the government has bought 200 million more doses.
