UAE Covid vaccine: Dubai holds webinar to educate people about importance of jab

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) held a virtual webinar recently targeting Dubai residents , especially high-risk groups, to educate them on the importance of Covid-19 vaccines in enhancing immunity.

Dr Mona Shoeib, Family Medicine Specialist at the DHA, stressed the importance of the webinar, aimed at raising awareness among the public about the importance of the vaccine and its role in enhancing immunity to prevent health complications caused by Covid -19 especially among high-risk groups.

She pointed out that Covid -19 vaccinations are currently considered one of the best and most effective methods to prevent the spread of the virus.

During the webinar, Dr Shoeib touched on a number of topics that included: the safety of the vaccine, how it works, the customer journey and how to book an appointment through the DHA App or through the DHA Contact Centre, which can be reached on 800342.

It also discussed the important information you should tell your physician before taking the vaccine and what to expect after taking the vaccine, such as the common side effects that one can experience when taking a vaccine and what to do should they experience any side effects.

The webinar also stressed the importance of taking the vaccine to achieve the sufficient immunity required to prevent the spread of the virus, especially for high-risk groups. This includes elders who are 60-years-old and above, people with chronic diseases, people of determination, frontliners in both the public and private sectors and vital-sector workers.
