Authorities in Umm Al Quwain busted a wedding ceremony that flouted multiple Covid safety rules.

According to the UAQ Police, the ceremony was hosted in Al Sweihat. The ceremony saw the presence of more than the permissible number of guests, which is capped at 10 for weddings.

Some guests at the ceremony were seen without masks, while some others did not maintain adequate social distance between one another.

The emirate's local emergency, crisis and disaster management team called on residents to adhere to Covid safety rules that have been rolled out to protect the country from the Covid-19 pandemic.
