“In line with our support of the national vaccination programme and its dedication to providing a safe environment for the community, we are proud to announce that an onsite Covid-19 vaccination booth operated by Mubadala Health is now open to the public at The Galleria Al Maryah Island,” The Galleria management announced on their website.

The vaccination booth by Mubadala Health is located on Concourse Level near Waitrose and is open from Sunday to Thursday between 10am and 7pm.

The facility can administer five vaccine doses for different people at a time, while ensuring pre-scheduled appointments to maintain social distancing. It is in support of Department of Health’s (DoH) aim to increase access to Covid-19 vaccines across the emirate.

The vaccination booth provides free vaccinations against Covid-19 for both Emiratis and UAE residents over 50 years old, people of determination and those with chronic illnesses and operates on an appointment only basis.

Appointments can be made via email at mcv@telemed.ae. An eligibility survey will be administered before the first appointment is confirmed, according to authorities.

Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman, DoH, Abu Dhabi, visited the new vaccination booth, which was launched in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Global Market, said the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

He praised the leading role demonstrated by Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector and Mubadala Health’s commitment towards providing quality services and are working in tandem to fight the challenges in curbing the spread of the virus.

Al Hamed also highlighted the efforts of encouraging people to choose to vaccinate, especially within the most vulnerable groups more prone to Covid-19 complications, such as the elderly and those with chronic diseases.

"We are extremely proud to be part of the national vaccination programme, which demonstrates the UAE’s ability to mount an agile and effective response to the pandemic through collaboration between the public and private sectors," said Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, chief executive officer (CEO), Mubadala Health.
