Thirteen teams from ADNOC Group of Companies are fighting for honours in the tournament which runs until April 3. The tournament is being organised by the Inter-Oil Cricket Committee (IOCC), for the ADNOC Group of Companies. The final will be held at the Shaikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, ADCO made 193 for the loss of nine wickets in their 25 overs. Opener Mohd. Israr made a 57-ball 74 with six boundaries. Lower down the order Mohd. Saud scored 58 from 44 balls with three boundaries. Anoop Satheesh scored 10 from two balls with a boundary and a six.
Aravind Nair took three wickets, while Mohd. Qasim picked up two wickets. In reply, opener Abdullah Jan scored an entertaining 64 from 41 balls with five boundaries and three sixes. No.3 batsman Mohd. Qasim made 38 from 26 balls with three sixes and one boundary. Osama Tariq and Mohd.
Saud picked up two wickets. The tournament is being played in two divisions – Division A and Division B.
The tournament is one of the richest in the region with a total prize money of Dh 60,000 and the trophies. The total prize money in Division A is Dh 26,000 and Division B is Dh 23,000.
