In the Al Fara’a-Sportplex semifinals, Al Fara’a made 197 for nine wickets in 30 overs and later bowled out Al Ain Sportplex for 183 runs in 29.1 overs.
Opening batsman Waqas Ilyas was the leading scorer for Al Fara’a with 69 runs from 60 balls. Salem Qadoos (21), Taha Hussain (22) and Zain Zaheer (26 not out) also made valuable contributions for Al Fara’a.
Nilesh Bharghav claimed four wickets for Al Ain Sportplex.
In reply, Al Ain Sportplex, despite Nabeel Sikander’s fighting knock of 48 runs and Nilesh Bhargav’s 42, fell short of the target by 14 runs.
In the other semifinals, DPS YTCA restricted ZCA to 160 runs and later scored 163 runs for the loss of four wickets.
