AL AIN - Youngster Nasir Butt of Al Faraa Whites continued his magnificent form with the bat with back to back centuries hitting another glorious 159 as Al Faraa Whites crushed Al Ain CC by 123 runs while Abu Dhabi warriors from the capital comprehensively beat Al Jabri CC by seven wickets in the first round matches of 15th Al Faraa-Nehru Cup played over the week-end.
New to Al Ain Cricket, Nasir Butt cracked 159 (10x6s, 18x4s) sharing two century stands with opener Ashfaq Farooq (43) and Mohammad Kamran (43) as Al faraa Whites plundered a huge 319/5 in 23 overs. They restricted Al Ain CC to 196/9 winning by a massive 123 run margin.
In another ‘A’ division match, Abu Dhabi Warriors kept their winning streak, beating Al Jabri CC by 7 wickets.
Earlier, Abu Dhabi Warriors had a nervous win over WED CC by 5 wickets.
