Al Hamad Contracting claim Danube honours

DUBAI - Al Hamad Contracting Company beat Standard Chartered Bank by 18 runs to emerge as champions in the annual cricket league sponsored and organised by Danube.

The inclusion of female players added excitement to this year’s games.

A total of 33 teams from the media partners, suppliers, bankers and other business associates of Danube competed at Insportz in Al Quoz, Dubai.

The winning team was awarded a grand trophy, medals for the team members and surprise prizes from Danube’s Rizwan Sajan, and Anis Sajan, Managing Director.

Also, the Emirates NBD beat Adel team by 38 runs to grab the win in the cricket league’s plate event.

Winners for the Plate event were also awarded a trophy, medals and incentive prizes.

The Danube Cricket League is part of the company’s strategic initiative to strengthen its relations with its affiliated corporate partners.

Aside from the cricket games, the event featured a full day of fun and entertainment with activities like face painting sessions, clowns and cartoon character shows, cheer leaders, quizzes, games, DJs and music and a mini-concert.
