The tournament is being held at the Seven Seas Ground, under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council. All prizes are donated by Shahvir Sidhwa of Seven Seas Group.
In the first match, Seven Seas defeated Dubai Spartans CC by 133 runs.
Batting first, Seven Seas posted a daunting total of 278 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Asif batted brilliantly scoring 127 runs, supported by Javed Butt who scored 89 runs. Vikas, Kamal and Irfan all took a wicket each.
However, the Spartans bowlers failed to excel against the commendable Seven Seas batting line up. Chasing, Dubai Spartans CC achieved only 145 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Irfan and Imran were the top scorers with 59 and 39 runs respectively.
Freddy Sidhwa bagged three wickets for 25 runs whilst Mohsin took three and Asif attained two wickets each.
In another match, Siraj CC defeated Tiger XI CC by seven wickets. Batting first, Tiger XI CC scored 187 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Raheel remained the top scorer with 55, also supported by Yash (48). Fahad Butt gained two while Abdul Rehman and Sohail bagged a wicket each.
Chasing, Siraj CC were able to attain the target in 16.2 overs for the loss of three wickets only. Fahad Buttís excellent innings of 68 off 30 balls lead the team to victory. He was also supported by Shadan (46) and Rahul (36). Zained, Nouman and Naveed took a wicket each.
