Asif Shines as Seven Seas Beat Mawasim

DUBAI - A brilliant knock by Asif Iqbal of 121 runs aided Seven Seas to win another match in Anchor Marine T20 Cricket Cup, a press release said here on Monday.

This prestigious tournament is being held at the Seven Seas Ground, under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council.

All prizes are donated by Shahvir Sidhwa of Seven Seas Group. In the only match of the day, Seven Seas beat Al Mawasim C.C. by seven runs.

Batting first, Seven Seas posted a laudable total of 250 for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Asif Iqbal scored a stunning 121 runs off just 62 balls.

His innings comprised of 13 Fourís and 7 Sixes.

Asif received good support from Husnain, who scored 60 runs off 30 balls. Arif took two while Sajjad and Zohaib took one wicket each.

Chasing, Al Mawasim C.C. achieved 243 runs, while losing seven wickets in their 20 overs.

Ibrahim (71) and Amjad (62) played exceptionally well, but neither was able to lead his team to victory.

Freddy Sidhwa, Qadar, Husnain, Faraz and Mohsin bagged one wicket each.
