Brilliant Jasapara bowls Nucaf to victory
DUBAI - Left-arm spinner Gopal Jasapara bowled a match winning spell for Nucaf Tellicherry against Cool Boyz in the Debonairs Pizza Floodlit Tournament, a press release said.
The tournament is being conducted by the Dubai cricket Council at the ICC Global Academy grounds in Dubai Sports City.
Batting first, Cool Boyz made 118 all out in 21.4 overs. Amjad Ali hit 52 while Waleed Khan made 21. Jasapara was too good for the opposition batsmen as he ended up with figures of 4/17, while Nasir Aziz took three wickets for 26 runs. In reply, Nucaf Tellicherry achieved the target with Asif Iqbal hitting a fine unbeaten half century.
Skipper Jasapara took the wickets of opener Salman Malik, Waseemuddin, Murtuza Askari and UAE all-rounder Ahmed Raza.
Brief scores: Nucaf Tellicherry beat Cool Boyz by 9 wickets Cool Boyz 118 all out in 21.4 overs (Amjad Ali 52, Waleed Khan 21, Gopal Jasapara 4 for 17, Nasir Aziz 3 for 26). Nucaf 119 (Asif Iqbal 64 no, Jai Prakash 33).
