England won the toss for the fourth time in a row and decided to bat first. It was the first day-and-night match in blind cricket. England openers gave them a splendid start as their first wicket fell at 291 runs on the board in 27th over. Nathan Foy was again the star for England by scoring the consecutive double hundred. He scored 226 runs. Pakistan after taking the wicket of Foy restricted England in the deck overs.
England scored 389/7 runs in their 40. Andy Power scored 78. Amir Ishfaq was the pick of the blowers by taking two wickets while Abdul Razzaq took one wicket. Pakistan in reply, reached home in a style. The openers Amir and Anees hit England bowlers around the park. Amir scored his first double century and remained not out on 216 runs. Anees also played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 143 runs. Pakistan reached the target of 390 runs in 31st overs without losing a wicket. They made the new world record of opening partnership in ODI’s by beating the previous World record of 374 runs set by Field brother of South Africa against Pakistan in the final of first World Cup 1998 in New Delhi.
In the Sightsavers series, one Twenty2o and three ODI’s were played and Pakistan won all the matches.
