Butt’s quickfire ton helps Seven Seas win

In another match, Irfan Tariq of Dubai Spartans CC led to his team to victory over Siraj CC with his 74 runs. The tournament is being held at the Seven Seas Ground, under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council.

All prizes are donated by Shahvir Sidhwa of Seven Seas Group. In the first match, Seven Seas defeated Tiger XI. by 82 runs.

Batting first, Seven Seas posted a daunting total of 277 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Javed Butt’s magnificent 164 runs, supported by Qadir Nawaz’s 56 allowed the team to post the huge total. Usman took two whilst Raza took one wicket.

Chasing, Tiger XI achieved only 110 runs for the loss of all wickets in 18.4 overs. Waqar and Usman remained the only top scorers with 19 and 15 runs respectively.

Asif Iqbal remained the best bowler with 5 for 21 whilst Ahmed Faraz and Freddy Sidhwa took two wickets each.

In another match, Dubai Spartans CC beat Siraj CC by 6 wickets. Batting first, Siraj CC scored 196 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Faizan scored a commendable 61, also supported by Shadan (32). Kamal bagged three wickets for 18 runs whilst Faisal and Abrar attained two wickets each.

Chasing, Dubai Spartans achieved 197 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18 overs. Irfan Tariq played a brilliany knock of 74 runs also supported by Firdous with his 51 runs.
