SHARJAH - An unbroken 41 run partnership for the tenth wicket between Will Gidman (71 not out) and Luke Jarvis (9 not out) enabled MCC team defeat Sharjah Invitation X1 by one wicket at the Sharjah stadium on Wednesday.
Sharjah Invitation X1, batting first, scored 200 in 48.2 overs.
Skipper Naeemuddin Aslam scored 35 with four boundaries, while Niresh Fernando (29), Malintha Perera (39), Swapnil Patel (28), Awais Aftab (28) were the other contributors.
In the bowling for MCC Keith Dutch took four wickets while Jonny Wightman and David Balcombe took two each. Swapnil Patel had six victims behind the stumps.
