Comfortable win for Abu Dhabi Gymkhana

SHARJAH — Zeeshan Safeer and Haseeb Azam took three wickets each to guide William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to a convincing seven-wicket victory over Veteran Cricket Association team from Hyderabad in the 23rd Sharjah Ramadan Tournament for the Interface Transworld Cup at the Sharjah stadium on Monday night, a press release said.

Zeeshan conceded just six runs for his three-wicket haul while Haseeb gave away 21 as the visiting team from India were all out for 82 in the 22nd over. Only K.V. Seshagiri (40 off 30 balls with three fours and one six) offered some worthwhile resistance to a charged-up William Hare attack.

The Abu Dhabi team, in reply, raced the easy victory target in just 11.3 overs with Haroon Iftikhar remaining not out on 24 off 21 balls. Irfan Haider also contributed 20 off 13 balls to help his side wrap up the match without any fuss.
