Nihal Samual was the only other Desert Cubs batsman to cross into double figures with 13 off 29 balls, before he too was caught by Naseem off Muqeet.
With no other batsmen contributing to the scores, Desert Cubs benefited from the generosity of the Al Ain Sportplex bowlers, who gave away 48 runs in sundries.
Ismail, Muqeet and Naseem all claimed two wickets each for Al Ain Sportplex. In reply, the Desert Cubs disciplined bowling backed by some sharp fielding which saw three run-outs, restricted Al Ain Sportplex to 96 runs for six wickets in the allotted overs.
