The tournament is organised by Young Talents Cricket Academy under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council.
In the under-10 final, DPS Sharjah, put in to bat first, piled a huge total of 132 runs and in turn contained Westminster YTCA to 70 runs for six wickets in the allotted 15-over match.
The DPS Sharjah innings was shaped up by their opener Devnath Menon, who scored an unbeaten 51 off 45 deliveries, studded with six boundaries at the scenic Sheik Zayed Stadium.
Devnath found a suitable partner in the form of stylish batsman Sparsh Hegde, as the two batsmen raised up a 113 run partnership for the second wickets. Sparsh compiled 48 runs off 40 balls before he was caught by Jaithra Bhatia off the bowling of Hamza in the closing overs of the DPS innings.
In reply, the Westminster batsmen never really got going in the face of the huge asking rate. Jaithra top scored with 18 runs of as many balls.
In the under 12 final, visiting FWC from South Africa put up 137 for one wicket in the allotted 20 overs and in reply bowled out DPS Sharjah for a meager 52 runs.
FWC were well served by the duo of Wian van Zyl and Pieter Bacherds, as they put on an unbeaten 129 runs partnership. Wian, who opened the FWC innings, remained unbeaten on 62 runs off 63 balls while Pieter was also unbeaten on 57 off 49 deliveries.
Wian later picked two wickets as the DPS Sharjah innings fizzled out without much resistance in 12.5 overs for just 52 runs. Zohaib was the top scorer with 14 runs.
